This kit (WT1) builds into the classic British Railways' personal carrier type No.27A, although these were mainly used on the standard gauge several were converted to narrow gauge and still survive to this day.
Some versions were also produced that did away with the rear passenger carrying area and used this section for tools and even a diesel generator or air compressor.
While the kit is designed for use on 32mm narrow gauge to a scale of 16mm to the foot it is also available in 45mm narrow gauge. The kit contains a mix of whitemetal and lost wax brass details for the smaller and more delicate parts, and comes complete with a underfloor motor unit and 2 AA size battery holders. (Batteries not included)
Wickham trolley complete with trailer

Wickham Trolleys were also capable of pulling a trailer wagon with tools, but were then restricted to a two man crew. The trailer kit can be used on its own just as well, and looks equally at home behind any small locomotive.
The kit (WT2) comprises a pre-scribed plywood floor and short end headboards with wooden chassis members, and is complete with axleboxes and wheel sets. Also included is a selection of whitemetal detail parts for the chassis and headboard.
