Boiler fittings

Designed for use with the standard Mamod boiler, this regulator fits in the cab onto the existing bush where the whistle normally sits. It is used for fine control and the original reverse valve is retained for changing direction. Fitting requires partially dismantling the loco and a small modification to the cab.

This high quality safety valve, with its more positive action, gives a measurable increase in power. 26BSF or 32 and 40ME TPI.

This valve replaces the whistle and can be used to fill the boiler with water whilst it is in steam. 26BSF or 32 and 40ME TPI.

A complete replacement boiler manufactured from 18swg copper, suitable for pressure up to 50 psi. With water sight-glass and two extra take-offs for whistle and pressure gaug, for example. This boiler is a direct replacement for the original, but to fit it, you will need to partially dismantle the locomotive and make a small modification to the cab. Length: 132mm; Diameter: 38mm.

Designed to be used with the top-up valve shown above, it is a useful way method of filling the boiler of a hot engine in steam.

Cylinders and fittings

A complete cylinder assembly including ‘O’ ring, gland nuts, improved back plate gaskets and modified springs. Available for locos running on 32 or 45mm gauge.

A direct replacement that has been machined to reduce steam leakage to a minimum and improve the engine's efficiency.

Chassis fittings

Four wheels and axles, directly replace existing loco wheels. Fitted with modified bearings that are retained by nuts on to the frames. Available for 32 or 45mm gauge.

This set converts the engine to standard height center buffers so that the loco can be used with a wide range of 16mm rolling stock.

Decorative fittings

This replaces the existing cast handrails and consists of eight turned brass handrail knobs and four brass handrails.

These smart turned brass filler tops fit on to the top of the side tanks.

This smart looking dome simply fits over the water-fill valve. It may not improve the performance of your engine, but, along with the brass handrails and brass water-filler tops described above, will improve its looks no end - and every steam engine should have some brass to polish!

Burner fittings

This spirit burner has three wicks. It fits between the locomotive's sideframes, replacing the original Mamod solid fuel burner. It requires only a few strokes with a fine file to fit. Burn time is approximately 15-18 minutes.

Diameter: 28mm, Height: 92mm to the top of the valve.
