Darj

Darj is a freelance model based on the Darjeeling & Himalayan railway 0-4-0+0-4-0 Garratt (class 'D') built by Beyer Peacock in 1910.

Technical specifications

• 0-4-0+0-4-0 outside framed chassis with four precision double-acting 'Big Bore' oscillating cylinders driving the rear wheels.
• Internally gas fired, 60psi boiler.
• Laser cut parts with full rivet detail.
• Approximate dimensions: length 560mm, width 115mm, height 170mm (with rear headlamp fitted).
• Radio control.
• Pressure gauge.
• Directional headlights.
• Boiler duration: approximately 15 minutes on standard fill. Continuous running possible using filler valve supplied.
• Colours: apple green, standard green, blue or maroon. Other colours by request.
• Gauge: adjustable.
• Minimum radius curve: approximately 2'6" (75cm).
