2-cylinder Shay

This is a model of a 2-cylinder Shay, based on the 13 ton open cab (above) and the Michigan - California No.2 (illustrated below) locomotives. Both versions are available. Die-cast trucks are used for precise mechanism and operation. All Accucraft Trains models are designed and built to exacting standards from carefully researched plans and prototype measurements, and every detailed part is hand-crafted from brass and steel. Every effort is made to assure quality of each part.

Technical specifications

• 0-4-0 + 0-4-0 inside framed chassis, internally gas fired with butane.
• Controls fitted as standard: water filler valve, safety valve, displacement lubricator, gas regulator, boiler pressure gauge and throttle.
• Boiler: single flue.
• Cylinders: Ø (16mm), piston stroke (32mm).
• Valve gear: simple eccentric, piston valve.
• Colour: black.
• Gauge: 45mm only.
